This assignment required me to create a piece of urban furniture aimed at enhancing the daily life of the Gràcia neighborhood, while thoughtfully integrating the Plaças distinctive urban fabric.
The urban bench system NUS offers a dynamic and interactive experience for all generations, addressing congestion around small public benches and chairs. It features versatile seating modules that can easily rotate to foster interaction or spin away for seclusion.
Ogoori is a Norwegian company dedicated to collecting plastic waste from the oceans and transforming it into new, sustainable products.
Through a meticulous process, Ogoori gives harmful plastic a second life by turning it into a valuable, reusable material. What makes this material especially innovative is its circular life cycle. Once a product reaches the end of its use, it can be returned to Ogoori to be melted back into pellets and repurposed again, closing the loop in a truly sustainable way.
Shaded by the yellow blooms of Tipuana trees, Plaça del Nord provides a peaceful retreat for locals and visitors. As we explored ways to enhance the space, we realised the value of incorporating a project which emphasises the little luxury of greenery and community.
